Because high-quality animal sources are the only sources demonstrated to prevent common breakdowns and are the only guarantors of good health, the Abady Company publishes the amount of protein in a formula and even more importantly, the percentage derived from high-quality animal sources. Most products derive most of their protein from plant material.

1. The percentage of fiber: the lower the amount the better. Abady products contain the appropriately low levels of fibrous material. High levels of fiber can contribute to allergic and autoimmune problems and interfere with nutrient availability.
2. No artificial preservatives: the Abady Company does not add artificial preservatives to its products, and the fats and oils that are included are free of artificial preservatives.
3. Abady products are saponin-free: saponins are toxins and constituents of beet pulp, sorghum (milo), soybeans, tomato pomace, alfalfa, peas, beans, oats, yucca, potatoes, and garlic and are responsible for a wide variety of breakdowns, from chronic gastrointestinal problems to saponin caused bloat and abortions, and other breakdown conditions.
